The state cabinet will create history by having a cabinet meeting at the CM’s camp office and not at the secreteriat.

For the first time in the history of the state, the cabinet meeting will be held at camp office, the official residence of the Chief Minister, instead of the Secretariat which is the normal practice, on August 16.

The General Administration Department (GAD) has communicated to the ministers that the meeting of Council of Ministers will be held in the Chief Minister’s camp office on August 16 at 5 pm. The Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy seem to have taken this decision keeping in view the decision of the Telangana ministers not to step into Secretariat, which houses their offices, until the Telangana issue was resolved. Out of 38 cabinet ministers, 12 belonging to Telangana region were keeping away from their duties even after their resignations were rejected by the Assembly Speaker.
