Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram alleged that the Telangana region was being discriminated in all fronts under the rule of Seemandra leaders and the diversion of water belonging to the Telangana region was continued even today.
Addressing a round table conference organised here, Mr Kodandaram said the construction of Telangana projects have been going on at snail’s pace for past decades and all the projects were being denied in allocation of funds under the influence of Seemandra leaders.
Mr Kodandaram alleged that the Seemandra leaders had hatched a conspiracy to divert the Srisailam project’s water to Rayalaseema region through the right canal of Nagarjuna Sagar Tail Pond project and called upon the Telangana people to fight together to stop diversion of water from the region.
The JAC Chairman also demanded the state government to stop the works of Dummugudem-Nagarjuna Sagar tail pond project as it was against the interest of farmers of both Khammam and Nalgonda districts.TRS polite bureau member Etela Rajender and retired Chief Engineer Vidyasagar Rao were also present in the conference.
Meanwhile, Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha sung a Telangana song on the premises Khammam court. On the occasion, advocates of the Telangana JAC gave a warm welcome to her.
