Alleging that the Andhra Pradesh government has failed to create a congenial atmosphere for talks on the strike notice served by them, the Telangana employees on Thursday refused to accept the invitation for dialogue.

The government has not taken steps on the demands of Telangana Employees for withdrawal of police forces deployed in government offices and to withdraw the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) for creating a congenial atmosphere, K Swami Goud, Leader of Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers Association, told reporters here.

He was speaking after a meeting of the Telangana Employees Unions on the state government’s invitation to them to come for talks on Thursday.

“Instead of establishing a friendly atmosphere for talks, the state government has brought one more department under ESMA yesterday and did not withdraw the security forces posted in the offices,” he charged.
