Solution to Telangana issue very soon – Botsa

Andhra Pradesh Congress president Botsa Satyanarayana today expressed hope that a solution to the contentious Telangana issue would soon be found. Yesterday, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had made an appeal to Telangana supporters to observe restraint saying that the Central leadership is likely to take a decision on the issue in another two-three months. Referring to Reddy’s appeal, Satyanarayana said, “Chief Minister has already said.

We hope that a solution to the problem would be found soon,” told reporters at the airport here before leaving for East Godavari district. He made the comments at a function in Mahabubnagar district in Telangana region where supporters of separate statehood raised slogans in support of their demand. Satyanarayana said the issue of resignations of MLAs, loyal to Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, is in the court of Assembly Speaker N Manohar.

The PCC president began a tour of districts from today, beginning with East Godavari district, to rejuvenate the party and contain the impact of Jagan. During his two-day visit to East Godavari district, he is scheduled to meet party workers at various places and participate in other programmes.
