Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Monday stated that he would write a letter to Telangana Congress Steering Committee convener K Jana Reddy appealing him to submit resignations afresh to Speaker Nadendla Manohar for the Telangana cause.

Talking to media persons after emerging out of meeting convened with Telangana forum members at Telugu Desam Legislature Party Office, Errabelli Dayakar Rao said the Forum members would submit resignations along with Telangana Congress members and mount pressure on Speaker to accept their resignations. Fourteen TDP MLAs from Telangana attended this meeting.

“We are ready to submit resignations. But our resignation alone will not serve any purpose except necessitating by-elections. If all elected representatives from the region resign en masse, the state will experience a political and constitutional crisis and the Centre will be forced to take a decision on Telangana immediately,” he stated.

He alleged the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman Prof M Kodandaram and Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao failed to respond on the call to keep aside party flag and agenda to unitedly achieve achieving the Telangana state.

Another Forum member Motukupalli Narasimhulu took serious objection on TPJAC chairman Prof Kodandaram’s call to beat those Telangana leaders, who failed to resign for statehood with slippers. Seeking apology for making such serious remarks on Telangana leaders, Narasimhulu warned Kodandaram that he would book cases under SC/ST Atrocities Act against Kodandaram for insulting Telangana leaders. He alleged that Prof Kodandaram never acted like JAC chairman and always behaved as TRS and KCR’s agent.

Though Forum members submitted resignations for the cause of Telangana state, he alleged the TPJAC never hailed their decision
