TDP leaders from Telangana region would hold a protest in Delhi on August 11 and 12 in support of the separate statehood demand for the region.
“We have decided to organise dharnas in Delhi on (August) 11 and 12,” Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Convener of TDP’s Telangana Forum, told reporters after a meeting of the panel here today. The leaders plan to meet Congress leaders and persuade them to submit resignations from their posts again as the Assembly Speaker had rejected the resignations of the MLAs earlier, he said.
All those fighting for the separate state should come together to mount pressure on the Centre towards accepting the demand for statehood to Telangana, he said.
