The Government employees of the Telangana region will launch their indefinite strike from September 6 instead of August 17 as proposed earlier demanding the formation of Telangana state.
However, the all people’s agitation (Sakala Janula Samme) proposed to be launched from August 17 will commence as scheduled and the T region employees will join it from September 6.

The government employees have agreed to defer their agitation in view of the Sravana Masam festivities and the Ramjan festival. Some Muslim preachers requested the government employees and the JAC to defer the agitation to September first week in view of the Ramjan festival. Earlier reports said the employees rejected the request but now they have reconsidered their decision and agreed to postpone the strike.
