Telangana Rashtra Samithi senior leader Nayani Narsimha Reddy on Friday warned of serious consequences if the management of private colleges harass or show discrimination on Telangana lecturers in the colleges.

Talking to reporters after releasing a poster `Sunghrama Bheri’ of Telangana Rashtra Lecturers Sangha at Telangana Bhavan, Nayani Narsimha Reddy said the TRS would launch protest against such colleges which are harassing or showing discrimination against Telangana employees.

Calling upon lecturers to play a key role in the Telangana statehood agitation, he said the party would make efforts to enroll the lecturers in the Joint Action Committees. He said the Telangana Rashtra Lecturers Sangha would organize a massive convention `Sunghrama Bheri’ at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan in Secunderabad on September 3. The proposed convention would discuss the participation of private lecturers in people’s general strike.

Nayani said that the TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman Prof M Kodandaram would participate as chief guests in the convention.
