What is the aim of the resignations of Jagan’s MLAs?

Despite resignations of the Jagan group, there is no danger to the Congress government in the state. The party is strong because of the merger of the PRP and the support of the MIM. The government is of the opinion that the resignations of these disloyal MLAs who have won on Congress ticket and are attacking the party and the Chief Minister, makes no difference. Even Jagan group MLAs know about this.

However it is being said that it is not the plan of the Jagan group to pull the government down.

The central government has taken a firm stand on curbing corruption in recent times. It did not hesitate to send to jail MPs like Raja and Kanimozhi of DMK which is a major constituent of the UPAS government. It has also sent its own leader Suresh Kalmadi to jail. In this back drop, it would not be a wonder if Jagan was also arrested if his crime was proved. Clearly understanding this situation, it is being said that the Jagan group has come forward with resignations act, to preempt his arrest.

It is being said that it was the plan of the Jagan group to divert the attention of the people from the corruption cases against him, through their resignations. It is being murmured in the political circles that if Jagan was arrested and thrown into jail, they could use their resignations and the name of YSR and get good results in the by elections, they are thinking.
