Woman ends life for Telangana

A 20-year-old woman committed suicide by immolating herself at Nadargul village on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Sunday allegedly for the cause of Telangana. Police said Praveena had finished her graduation and was doing a computer course.
She doused herself with kerosene and set herself on fire killing her when she was alone at home. Though police did not specify reasons for the extreme step, relatives of the woman said she was emotionally attached with the Telangana agitation and was deeply hurt when she learnt through newspapers that ministers had decided to go back to work.
She expressed her feelings to her sister Mounika over phone before resorting to the extreme step. Several leaders of Telangana agitation paid tributes to Praveena and attended her funeral.
