Gaddar on future course of Telangana agitation
News pulse, Politics | admin | September 3, 2011 at 5:16 am
Observing that a whole new concrete plan of action would be required to get all those fighting for a separate Telangana under one umbrella, Balladeer Gaddar observed that the Telengana protagonists instead of protesting by resigning would be joining in the struggle through active and not passive participation.
Furthermore, today, Telangana is a treasure house of resources and International communities too seem to be worried about the movement.
What is your plan of action to strengthen the Telangana agitation?
Our focus would now be on blocking our resources from being transported to other parts of AP. Talking about resources, they would be personnel, industrial and service oriented. Furthermore the Peoples Front would also bring out a list on the resources taken out of here and demand official ratification.
How would you define the change in agitation from the agitators point of view?
So far the movement has been defined by people resigning their official positions, jobs and protests from elected representatives.
Now, it would be taken to next stage, where the protest would manifest itself in the form of a Non-Cooperation movement, with people completely abstaining from duties as directed. This would be a challenge to both the Union and the State Governments.
What are views on the Nadendla Manohar issue?
It is a gross violation of the Constitution on behalf of Mr Nadendla Manohar. Furthermore he ought to clarify his stand as far as the allegations go. Speaking on the transnational interest in the Telengana movement, it is obvious that there is interference from capitalists across the globe.
What do you have to say on the Wiki leak information concerning the age group of Dalits participating in the struggle?
It is a gross insult to the entire Dalit fold and the Telangana movement. Even I’m a Dalit , how would my age matter. Moreover, there are people from other communities participating in the struggle. Mr Nadendlka is trying to bifurcate the forces fighting for a separate Telangana State. Moreover, he is insulting a group of people, who, account to more than 45 million.
Would there ever be a common Telangana platform?
The point is very simple. As for the people, they are definitely united as far as their demand for a separate Telangana is concerned.
However, it is the political class which is desperately trying to create separate platforms for the agitation. There will definitely come a day when people would bury the differences and come together.
