Jaysudha backs off, ‘jhalak’ to Jagan
News pulse, Politics | admin | September 13, 2011 at 4:05 amThe Congress MLA from Secunderabad, Ms Jayasudha, has given a rude shock to the YSR Congress Party chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, by refusing to resign from her Assembly seat.
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, Ms Jayasudha said that she would announce her decision on resignation soon. Stating that she was not like other leaders, she said the resignations appeared to be a drama. She said that she would resign honestly only when there was possibility of getting it accepted.
It may be recalled that Anantapur Congress MLA, Mr Gurunatha Reddy, has given a rude shock to Mr Jagan three days ago while participating in the program of the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, by shouting “Jai Congress.” Of course, he gave a clarification later that he said “Jai YSR Congress” and not “Jai Congress”.
It may be recalled that 26 Congress MLAs had submitted resignations in protest against inclusion of the name of late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in the CBI FIR. However, Ms Jayasudha, Ms Kunja Satyavati and Ms Konda Surekha did not resign then as they had already resigned earlier for the cause of Telangana. However, Ms Jayasudha has been supporting Mr Jagan, prior to the CBI probe into his assets. It is now being said that apart from Ms Jayasudha and Mr Gurunatha Reddy, some more MLAs were also having second thoughts about resignations, fearing persecution by the government through the CBI.
