KCR demands DGP and CM’s apology

Demanding the Chief Minister and Director General of Police to tender an unconditional apology to the TNGO President Swamy Goud for arresting him without any reason, KCR made it clear that disruption of Sakalajanula Samme was not possible to the State government with the arrests. He said that Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy government has to make the Centre to introduce the Telangana Bill in the Parliament instead of resorting to arrests. Alleging that the Telangana ministers, MPs and MLAs were not ashamed of the arrests, KCR said that they have to own the responsibility of achieving separate Telangana.
Addressing a meeting organized by the TNGOs at its Bhavan here on Friday after the release of TNGO leader Mr Swamy Goud, Mr KCR said that the Telanganan Congress leaders should not hesitate to dethrone the Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy in case he obstructs the movement.
He urged the police from Telangana region not to resort to threaten the Telangana leaders. He said that he had taken up fast unto death in 2009 demanding the removal of 14 (F) Clause, which helps Telangana police and it was not correct for them to harass the Telangana leaders. He warned the police of serious consequences if they failed to work under the limits of Law. Ridiculing the imposition of 144 Section in Hyderabad City from September 16 to 22, he asked the City Police Commissioner Mr AK Khan to show a single untoward incident in the on-going Sakalajanula Samme.
Condemning the arrest of Mr Swamy Goud, Mr KCR said that the government has to think in diplomatic way and has to show statesmanship. He said that the State government would not have resorted to arrest of Mr Swamy Goud if it has minimum common sense, and questioned whether it was possible to stop the movement with the arrests. He said that Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy will not stop the Sakalajanula Samme by playing cheap tricks. He said that he will approach the Human Rights Commission for arresting Mr Swamy Goud without any reason.
The Telangana Nagara Chief Mr Nagam Janardhan Reddy said that the people showed their unity in getting Mr Swamy Goud released, and said that the same unity has to be shown by the political leaders. He said that the Congress and TDP would lose its base if they failed to participate in the ongoing movement at the earliest.
BJP senior leader Mr Ch Vidyasagar Rao dared the State government to arrest the Telangana political leaders instead of arresting the employees’ leaders, or get the Telangana bill introduced in the Parliament immediately. He demanded the State government to suspend the police officers who arrested Mr Swamy Goud without any reason.
Alleging that the Police resorted to conspiracies since Thursday, the TNGO leader Mr Srinivas Goud said that the police have to change their attitude at least now.
Thanking the people and JAC leaders of Telangana for putting efforts for his release, Mr Swamy Goud said that the police arrested him illegally. He said that the police were resorting to threatening calls to the employees’ leaders during night times.
Prof. Kodandaram, several JACs leaders participated in the meeting.
