National media not covering ‘Sakala Janula Samme’

Pro-Telangana groups, organizations and supporters recently turned their ire on national media, staging protests outside offices of news channels and newspapers. They alleged that the media was not providing adequate coverage of the strike. The Telangana Lawyers JAC, on Wednesday, laid siege to the local offices of national electronic media houses NDTV and Times Now here, protesting against the non-coverage of the on-going Sakalajanula Samme.

Speaking on this occasion, the Lawyers JAC leader Mr Sri Ranga Rao said that the representatives of the national media responded in a positive way when the JAC leaders demanded them to cover the ongoing Sakalajanula Samme. He said that the Centre would know what was happening in the State if they covered the ongoing Samme properly. He said that the national media was ignoring the on-going Samme and were not giving required coverage for the it, and hence they laid siege to the offices.
