Protesters continue to spill out on roads

As the ongoing ‘Sakala Janula Samme’ completed its second week, there were protests and rallies galore across the district on Monday. The protesters adopted innovative methods in organising the rallies.
The joint action committees of wine merchants, and owners and workers association of the industrial estate, Rajaka Sangham, Telangana Rickshaw Pullers Association, SDLCE Employees Union and others took up different programmes on the day.
Going innovative, the members of Rajakula Sangham took out a three donkeys representing Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, AICC chairman Sonia Gandhi and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. Expressing anger at the delay in introducing a bill in Parliament on Telangana, the Sangham members washed and pressed clothes on the road at the Martyrs Memorial.
“Drawing inspiration from Chakali Ilamma, who fought against the Razakars of Nizam, we vow to fight all the anti-Telangana forces” said Rajaiah, a leader of the Sangham.
The representatives of SDLCE Employees Union Joint Action Committee conducted a massive ‘Dhoom Dhaam.’ The programme was performed by Babji and Group.
Professors Veeranna, V Shobha, Sitaram Naik and T Papi Reddy, Telangana political JAC leaders P Subba Rao, K Ravidender Reddy and others took part in the programme. The Warangal (West) MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhasker have led the rally by Rickshaw pullers by pulling a rickshaw.
He strongly condemned that negligent attitude of the state and central governments towards the demand of statehood to Telangana. He stated that there was no let off in the ongoing Sakula Janula Samme. The strike was picking up momentum day by day and there was no doubt in that, he asserted. He condemned the arrest of JAC leaders in Hyderabad.
The Wine Merchants Association representative and a TRS leader N Narender led a protest rally by the association. They burnt a massive effigy of ‘Ravanasura Central Government’ at Martyrs Memorial. “The centre which made a pro-Telangana statement some time back, is now acting against its own word”, he stated.
Owners and Workers Association of Industrial Estate JAC leader Lakshmi Narayana has demanded state and central governments to respond immediately to the demand of the statehood to the region.
The association members have formed a massive human chain at Mulugu cross in the town in support of the strike.
