Protests continue in Telangana

The Pro Telangana protests assumed new proportions on Sunday as the Telangana activists launched a scathing attack on the Congress ministers and leaders.

In Warangal the Telangana Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (TMRPS) took up a novel protest in front of minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah’s House in Hanamkonda by opting funeral drum beat while in Nalgonda the students stormed the R and B guest house where the minister Jana Reddy was lodged. The students demanded that the two ministers tender their resignations in solidarity to the Telangana struggle. In Mahabubabad town of warangal district the Telanganites attacked the house of MP Balram Naik with the aid of CPI activists.

In other parts the residences of Congress and TDP leaders were stormed by the Telangana activists.

The protests peaked up the movement of sakala Janula Samme in the districts and the pre cursor of RTC strike was also marked the intensified struggle.
