Renuka Choudhry says ‘No Effect’ of strike

“Do we leave the country if they ask us to leave through ‘Sakala Janula Samme (General Strike)? There is no influence of the strike in the state. It is not possible to take a decision when you put the knife on the throat and force,” said AICC official spokesperson Renuka Choudary. Talking to the media in Delhi on Monday, she said a decision of the Telangana issue would be taken at the right time, when the situation turns favorable.

She said the talk that the general strike was successful was just a myth. She has claimed that 80 percent of the works in the state were going on uninterrupted. ‘Do they want to break the country with the strike? A decision on bifurcation is not possible unless the state is peaceful,” she made it clear.

Telangana leaders have expressed their anger on Renuka for her controversial remarks.
