Sakalam bandh in Mahabubnagar
News pulse, Politics | admin | September 19, 2011 at 6:04 pmThere was total Bandh in Mahaboobnagar District today, in support of the Sakala Janula Samme (General Strike). As many as 791 buses under the jurisdiction of 8 depots in the district remained in the depots, while 187 private buses also stopped plying.
Passengers faced were put to severe difficulties, as the buses went off-the roads. Not a single vehicle could move from here as the Telangana agitators blocked the roads.
The Bharatiya Janata Patry (BJP) has organized protest demonstrations at Shadnagar, Jadcharla, Bhootpur, Kothakota and Pebberu on the National Highways. People who came from Gadwal, Alampur and Wanaparthi squatted on road proceeding towards Kurnool. Following this, vehicles from Rayalaseema going towards Hyderabad, were stranded.
