Secretariat T employees try to stop CM convoy

Police have foiled attempts of the Telangana employees of the Secretariat to stop the convoy of the Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy while entering into the Secretariat.

The Telangana employees, under the leadership of convener of Secretariat unit of Telangana Employees JAC, made rounds in the departments located in D-block and appealed to the Telangana employees to participate in general strike. Some 500 employees took out rally from D-block to the main entrance gate of the Secretariat. They formed a human chain blocking the roads at junction located near the main gate. The Telangana employees raised “Jai Telangana” slogans and warning the Telangana “deceivers”.

The Chief Minister’s convoy entered the Secretariat through “out gate” as the Telangana employees blocked the entrance road. Knowing about it, the employees made a vain bid to rush towards the out gate to stop the Chief Minister’s convoy. Timely response of the police foiled the bid of the employees. The Central Zone ACP, Mr Akun Sabarwal and the Chief Security Officer, Mr Madhava Rao rushed to the spot and gave necessary instructions to the security personnel. The police heaved a sigh of relief after the Chief Minister’s convoy entered the C –block without any hurdle.
