Shankar Rao, caught on camera taking ‘bribe’
News pulse, Politics | admin | September 29, 2011 at 4:00 amMinister Shankar Rao claims to be a crusader against corruption. This great minister was caught by the cameras of TV 5, while accepting a bribe of Rs. 10 lakhs for getting Congress corporator ticket to some one.
Shankar Rao’s voice was recorded by the TV channel as saying, “Don’t worry about your ticket. Take it that your work is done.” This is perhaps the first time that a minister was caught by a TV camera while accepting bribe.
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has been stating that his would be a corruption-free government. He has also said he would remove those with corruption charges from the cabinet and fill the posts with people of impeccable character. How many are clean in the new faces he wants to induct? Has he done any study on who is honest and who is not? If he has done such study, how did he accommodate some one like Shankar Rao? These are the questions biting the minds of the people. They expect an answer from the CM.
