Protesting against the recent hike in the price of petroleum, TDP workers have burnt an effigy of the Union Petroleum Minister, Mr S. Jaipal Reddy, at Begum Bazaar here on Sunday.
TDP leaders said that it was highly improper on the part of the Centre to enhance the price of petroleum, when the people were already suffering with the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities. They said the party would intensify its stir if the government had not withdrawn the enhanced price.
