Telangana supporters protest ahead of strike call

Telangana supporters today held protests at various places across the region in support of the indefinite strike called by the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee for separate statehood from September 13.The protesters organised rallies and other forms of demonstrations during which they demanded that the public representatives of Congress and TDP quit their posts.The mass resignations of MLAs would trigger a crisis and force the Centre to accept the Telangana demand, they contended

.The proposed strike should bring the administration to a grinding halt, Telangana political Joint Action Committee (JAC) Convener M Kodandaram told reporters.People of the region should make the strike a success, K Swamy Goud, a leader of Andhra Pradesh government employees in Telangana region, said.As per the decision of the political JAC, the pro-Telangana employees have informed the the Chief Secretary about their plan to go on strike from September 13.
