A major showdown between 2.4 lakh Telangana staff and the state government is on the anvil with the latter making for a call for an indefinite general strike “Skala Janula Samme” beginning Tuesday. TRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao warned the state authorities that Telangana would turn into a “fireball” in case the government decided to evoke Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) against any of the employee of the region.

Speaking at a well attended public gathering organized at Karimnagar on Monday, Rao said that the strike would be setting a trend in history of the state as no train or any bus would be running and educational institutions would be open and also there be no production work in the Singareni mines.

As one is aware agitation is on for a separate Telangana state for quite sometime.
