News pulse, Politics | admin | September 12, 2011 at 3:30 amAs many as 450 movie theatres across Telangana region are going to observe a two day bandh on September 14 and 15. Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce President, Vijendar Reddy said, “We have decided to observe a bandh on Sep 14-15 to show our support for a separate Telangana state.”
The bandh will be observed by all the theatres including multiplexes in Hyderabad and a rough estimate suggests that the government will lose about Rs 4 crores in terms of tax due to this bandh. “We might even prolong the bandh if Political JAC appeals to us to pressurize the government,” Vijendar Reddy added. Interestingly, R Narayana Murthy’s Poru Telangana, which traces the Telangana issues from 1952-present, is going to hit the screens on September 16.
