DGP warns Telangana supporters

The Director General of Police, Mr V. Dinesh Reddy, has warned the Telangana agitators that the government would not keep quiet if the latter created problems to the people under the guise of movement.

Speaking to the media here on Monday, Mr Dinesh Reddy said that he would not keep quiet if the agitators violated the law under the guise of Telangana movement. Nobody was not above the law, he said and advised the agitators not take the law into their hands. He warned that stringent action would be initiated if the agitators created problems to the women by obstructing the buses. He said that the people were facing problems with the roadblocks.

The DGP said that the Handlooms and Textiles Minister, Dr P Shanker Rao, has sent a letter stating that he does not need any security personnel. He said that the police department has the information that the main culprit Bhanu Kiran in Maddelacheruvu Suri’s murder case was in West Godavari. He also said that a special team has been set up to find the whereabouts of Bhanu. He said that the department would initiate steps to stop liquor sales in roadside Dhabas.
