Govt trying to win Telanganites support

The Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy is making hectic preparations for the next phase of Racha Banda with a special focus on winning the Telangana people back. He said that over Rs. 3,000 crores of benefits due to the Telangana people could reach them because of the Sakala Janula Samme. He has instructed authorities that these benefits reached the people during this phase of Racha Banda.
The Chief Minister meant to show two things during the Racha Banda programme. He wants to impress upon the people that they lost Rs. 3000 crores because of the Sakala Janula Samme during the last 42 days. The second thing is winning their hearts by ensuring that all the benefits accrue to them during shortest possible time.
Whether or not the Chief Minister would succeed in making the people understand that such strikes were harmful to them, it should be lauded if he makes an earnest attempt and succeeds in reaching the fruits of welfare schemes to the homes of the needy – be it in Telangana or elsewhere.
All one can hope is the people of Telangana who were wronged in many ways during the past several decades would get the attention from the government they deserved at least now, after they have expressed their dissent so explicitly.
