Though the Prime Minister Manmohan said he honored the Telangana issue and understood the situation there, he has not given any specific assurance on creation of a separate state, said KCR.

KCR and other JAC leaders spoke to the media on Monday night, after their meeting with the Prime Minister. They said they had urged the Prime Minister to take an early decision on Telangana. KCR said when the PM asked them to withdraw the strike, they told him that it was not in their hands.

He has also said that they had requested the PM to declare a road map with specific time frame on Telangana. They have also complained that the Chief Minister was lying on the power supply situation, he added. KCR said they have explained that though there was possibility of supplying power to the farmers, the government was troubling them by allowing private power generating companies like Lanco, to sell power to other states. They have complained to the PM that the CM was playing cheap politics, making them responsible for the power shortage. They have also urged the PM to ensure that salaries were paid to the striking employees and Singareni and RTC employees were paid Dasara bonus.
