The Telangana Vidyarthi Ikya Vedika (TVIV) gave a call for indefinite closure of wine shops and bars in the region from Sunday. The TVIV, a splinter group of Osmania University Students JAC, also said it would take up Andhra Go Back agitation from October 6. The posters of both the agitations were released at the Arts College on Sunday. TVIV president K Mahesh said they would attack wine shops and bars, if they do not shut their business.
The TVIV said it wants to effect the excise revenue of the state government by closing the wine shops. Meanwhile, the TVIV said it would take up Andhra Go Back agitation from October 6. “We will target the properties of Andhra capitalists who were opposing separate Telangana,’’ Mahesh said.
