What I told high command is a ’secret’ – CM

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that what he told members of the mini-core committee was a secret and could not divulge.

Talking to the media here on Saturday, he said he could not tell the media about his discussions with the Central leaders. When the media asked him when a decision on the Telangana issue would be announced, he told the media to ask the Central leaders themselves. He has however said that he was expecting a solution that was acceptable to all sections.

When asked about the possibility of imposition of President’s rule in the State, he said that possibility did not exist and added that there were some norms for imposition of President’s rule. He said that the Central leaders were eliciting opinions on the situation in the State and he had come to the national capital only in that connection. He said that he was hoping that the Congress High Command would take a decision, keeping in view the State’s interests and the aspirations of the people. Asked about the ongoing Sakala Janula Samme, he said he would talk about it in Hyderabad. He reminded that he had already urged the striking employees to call off the strike.

`The Chief Minister has explained that efforts were being made to find an amicable solution to the Telangana issue and said he would talk to the Central leaders once again if need be. Stating that the Congress leadership was holding talks with every one concerned, he said that he was hoping that a decision would be announced soon. He reminded that the Telangana issue has been long pending and now earnest efforts were being made to find a solution.
