Chiru for Central ministerial berth?

Hero-turned-politician Chiranjeevi’s long and patient wait is bearing fruits. He has been rejecting all and sundry posts in return for the merger of his PRP in Congress all along. He has made it clear that he would accept only a central minister post and nothing less. His long wait has finally fructified.

There is a discussion in Congress circles that Congress president Sonia Gandhi would not have called him to Delhi to give him a state position and it is because she wants to honor him with a central minister post, he was called. It also being said that though Sonia has already informed Chiranjeevi her intention, he is maintaining stoic silence and is simply saying that he was offered a suitable position.

There are however some hurdles to accommodate Chiru in the central cabinet. He has to be made a member of Rajya Sabha. This might take some more time. An official announcement would be made after that exercise.

It is also being said that three MLAs of PRP would also get ministers posts in the state.
