With the Uttar Pradesh Assembly passing a resolution demanding the division of the state into four parts, all eyes in Telangana are now focused on the winter session of Parliament. Welcoming the UP Assembly’s resolution, Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrashekhar Rao said that his party will disrupt the parliamentary session if the central government does not concede to demands for a separate Telangana state.

Rao, who left for New Delhi yesterday, said that he will meet the leaders of various political parties to mobilise their support in the Parliament for a Telangana state. “The time has come for the central government to respect the aspirations of the people of Telangana region and keep its promises,” he said.
