Ruling Congress party is watching the Telangana developments from a more political angle than strategic mode. The three resignations of MLAs from Congress and their entry in the TRS , the indefinite fast of the former minister Komatireddi Venkat Reddy and the remarks of the Congress MPs at the meetings and media conferences held in Telangana are viewed seriously by the party leadership of the state.

The resignation episode was taken as the matter of encouragement by the YS Jagan group and leaders opine that the split in Telangana leaders was encouraged by the Jagan group in order to enter the movement zone. “They want to rectify their previous faults and lapses done on the eve of Mahbubabad odaarpu yaatra on May 28 in 2010. Even the stand of the YSR Congress party on the Telangana issue would now be clarified particularly after the dissent expressed by the YSR followers in Congress” opined observers.

The leaders deserting the Congress are more viewed as the followers of YSR and even the deserted ministers such as Jupalli Krishna Rao and Komati Reddy are viewed as the supporters of Jagan and YSR. These developments are viewed as the developments provoked by YSR Congress and Jagan’s role in this episode is not ruled out. This issue is watched keenly by Congress and it is making them to study and be vigilant on the Congress leaders of Telangna.
