My comments not against Charan – Balaiah

Nandamuri Balakrishna is again in the news for all the wrong reasons. After a section of media reported that he is in favour of an integrated State, he drew a lot of flak from Telangana supporters and this comes close on the heels of his face off with Chiranjeevi’s family.Backtracking on the reports, he said that it was distorted and he has no intention to harm people from any region. Telugudesam, the party founded by his father NTR, is in the eye of storm for the stand or lack of it on Telangana and Balakrishna, who campaigned for the party in 2009 elections made it clear that he is not against any region.

He also went on to clarify that he has no malice towards Chiranjeevi family or Mohan Babu family. He had to give the clarification, following his comments at a function criticizing a young hero, apparently Ram Charna Tej, for what he told about the dearth of good directors in Telugu while Tamil has given Kamal Hasan and Murugudoss.

When Chiranjeevi downplayed Balakrishna’s comment and called him a senior artiste who is a nice man, the latter came out saying that his anguish was not aimed at Ram Charan and what all he said was distorted. With both the top stars speaking from the head and in a friendly tone, gossip mongers are disappointed.
