Notes, Votes and Seats, is TRS’s agenda – Bapuji

The allegation made by nonagenarian freedom fighter Konda Lakshman Bapuji, that ‘Votes, notes and seats’ was the agenda of TRS cannot be taken lightly, because of the integrity of the man who made it.
The way TRS chose to ignore the fast of Bapuji in New Delhi has shocked political observers. Bapuji is the man who offered shelter to K Chandrasekhara Rao, when he founded the TRS to fight for Telangana. It was from his ‘Jaladrushyam’ building that the TRS has functioned then. KCR has even built a helipad in the compound of the building and proudly said his was the first party office in the country to have a helipad.
Then, why has KCR chosen to be disloyal to the person who loved him as his son and gave him shelter when he came out of the TDP and was struggling to establish himself?
The reason given by TRS leaders for not associating with Bapuji was quite flimsy and most unbelievable. They say that they boycotted Bapuji because Telangana-traitors like Yerrabelli Dayakara Rao and Motkupalli Narasimhulu were seen with him.
An anguished Bapuji has said that for TRS, strengthening itself and winning the next election was more important than Telangana. The way TRS has been implementing its ‘Akarsh’ scheme to attract leaders and MLAs of other parties certainly proves Bapuji’s allegations. TRS wants to project itself as the sole champion of Telangana and does not want any one else to share the glory. This is the reason why TRS is avoiding joining hands with other parties engaged in the Telangana movement. The TRS has also succeeded in turning the Telangana JAC as its own front organization.
The result of these manifestations of the TRS is a clear divide among different parties striving for Telangana state. The way these parties have been throwing mud at each other naturally gives doubt to the common man if they were interested in Telangana at all.
