Polavaram project tender, a gift to KCR – Errabelli

Senior TDP leader Errabelli Dayakara Rao has said that the Congress government had gifted Polavaram tenders to the TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao for withdrawing the Sakala Janula Samme.

Talking to the media here on Friday, after he and other TDP Telangana Forum leaders met the Governor ESL Narasimhan and submitted to him a memorandum demanding an inquiry into Polavaram tenders issue, Errabelli said they had requested the Governor to order an inquiry by a sitting judge. He said the Governor had responded positively.

Yerrabelli also alleged that the Chief Minister’s Office was totally involved in the Polavaram tender scam. He said that if the Governor did not respond, they would complain to the Union government and if necessary go to court also. He said that it was always KCR, who was coming to the rescue of Congress whenever it was in difficulties. He also said that Congress and YSR Congress had colluded. If necessary, his party would move a no-confidence motion against the government and then it would be known who had colluded with whom. He said that before they moved no-confidence motion, TRS and YSR Congress MLAs should meet the Governor and request him to direct the Chief Minister to seek confidence vote. He said that his party would then decide whether or not to participate in the discussion on the confidence motion. Yerrabelli said that they had to submit memorandum to the Governor as the Congress and the TRS parties had not responded.

Replying to questions on second SRC on Telangana, he said they would not accept the proposal. He said they only want Telangana with Hyderabad. He also suggested that an independent organization should be formed under the leadership of Konda Lakshman Bapuji to achieve Telangana.
