Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravula Srinivas said that the Congress MLAs from Telangana region were dishonest in their efforts about separate State for the region. The BJP activists, led by Mr Srinivas, burnt the effigies of Congress MLAs in the town on Tuesday for voting against the no-confidence motion (NCM). Speaking to the Media here on Tuesday, Mr Srinivas found fault with the T Congress MLAs who had voted against the no-trust move in the State Assembly.

They were the main hurdle for the formation of separate Telangana. Because of them, the issue is being delayed, he alleged. He said that the Congress MLAs, instead of bringing pressure on the Speaker for the acceptance of their resignations, voted against the no-confidence motion and helped for the survival of the State Government.

If they are sincere in their agitation for a separate Telangana State, they should have voted in favour of NCM and paved the way for throwing out the Congress Government in the State, he said. He urged the Congress leaders to realise their mistake and strive for separate Telangana.
