The 19th conclave of city CPI(M) Vijayawada city division held the State Government responsible for sordid state of affairs that were a fallout of separate Telangana movement.

Addressing the conclave which began here on Saturday with a public meeting, CPI(M) central committee member Paturi Ramaiah said that the government was deliberately silent on the politics revolving around Telangana. The Congress leaders were nurturing Telangana movement as if there were no other public issues. They were hushing up their failures with the Telangana issue, he said.

There was governance in the state, and development has come to a grinding halt with chief minister having no control over his cabinet or administration. The public issues were their last priority of the cabinet. Vested interests topped the agenda of the ministers who were always engaged in war of words with their colleagues, he said.

On the other hand, the government was burdening the common man with new taxes and charges.
