KVP speaks to Jagan group MLAs
News pulse, Politics | admin | December 5, 2011 at 5:27 amLate chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s bosom friend and Rajya Sabha member Dr K V P Ramachandra Rao is reportedly making Herculean efforts to persuade the pro-Jagan Congress legislators to vote against the No-Confidence Motion tabled by the main Opposition Telugu Desam party against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government.
On Monday, Dr KVP was seen talking to the Jagan loyalists on the Assembly lobbies advising them to vote against the No-Confidence Motion and strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy. After addressing the entire group of Jagan’s legislators, the YSR confidant was talking to the MLAs individually. He also talked to Congress MLA Gurunath Reddy and urged him to stand by the government at the crucial juncture. It is learnt that Dr Ramachandra Rao entered the fray to woo Jagan loyalists on behalf of the Congress High Command.
The Transport Minister-cum-PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana met the Praja Rajyam legislators on the Assembly premises this morning and succeeded in convincing them to vote against the motion and stand by the government.
