Pranab tackles Cong T MPs

Pranab Mukherjee Congress MPs from Telangana, who would disrupt the Lok Sabha every day, are conspicuous by their sudden “non-performance”. Till last week, they would routinely occupy the aisle holding placards that demanded a Bill for a separate state.

That has now stopped and there are apparently good reasons for their changed behaviour. The angry old man of the Congress, Pranab Mukherjee, recently gave them a tongue-lashing for their repeated disruptions. Besides, two Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) MPs K. Chandrasekhara Rao and Vijayashanti, who led party MPs during protests in the well of the House, are not seen these days. Congress floor managers are naturally relieved at the turn of events.
