T students stage protest near Assembly, arrested

A group of Telangana student activists created a flutter by raising ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans in front of the Assembly on Tuesday morning. Demanding Telangana MLAs to go for no-trust vote against the government, 10 students, affiliated to Telangana Vidyarthi Ikya Vedika (TVIV) of the OU reached gate No 1 of the Assembly and began raising ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans.
However, the protesters were immediately whisked away by police and they were shifted to the Nampally police station. All the students were let off in the evening, Saifabad inspector V Umender said.
